The PfA Subgroup met on Thursday, 25 June 2020 for a housing themed meeting. We welcomed members of the local authority housing team to the meeting who shared the following presentation:

Log on Move on (LOMO)
LOMO is an online platform that can support settings, young people and families when looking at Post 16 options, including Supported Internships and Apprenticeships. Recently the site has created an Inspiration and Information section designed to provide valuable information to help prepare and make choices about the future. Sections include:
· Using LOMO
· Age 15-18
· Age 18+
· Parents and Carers
· Emotional Wellbeing
· Considering University
· Considering Higher Education
LOMO also provides a section for home learning and includes Virtual Work Experience opportunities. I’ve attached the link below for anyone interested in exploring this further:
East Riding College
East Riding College have advised that they are developing an Entry Level Performing Arts course to be ready for September 2020 at the Beverley campus. The course is expected to be over 4 days a week, learners will also complete Maths and English either FS or GCSE. It is anticipated that the course will cover the following:
· Effective ways in the performing arts such as development of ideas, rehearsal and performance
· Roles responsibilities and discipline
· Basic dance and music development
· Art and prop design and development
· Life skills, individualised to each learner, which could range from social/relationship skills, money skills, self-care and more
Linkage College Provision in the East Riding
Linkage College are set to be opening a new day college in the East Riding.In line with the prospectus the new college within the East Riding will go alongside the College’s current provisions in Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. Despite the challenges of COVID the college is still on course to open to learners from September 2020 (opening pending approval from the government due to COVID restrictions) offering a full curriculum which is anticipated to be blended (face to face and virtual).
IAG support for Year 11 and Year 13
Free careers support funded by the university’s Widening Participation programme for years 11 and 13.
In light of the disruption being caused by COVID on students’ decision making and next steps, The Humber Outreach programme has negotiated some additional careers guidance capacity from a local practitioner, Gemma Daddy.
Gemma is a level 7 Qualified Careers Guidance Practitioner, and over the summer period will be able to offer some support for young people in years 11 and 13 who are struggling with their next steps and applications.

East Riding Learning Disability Partnership Board
Inclusion North have arranged for the next Learning and Disability Partnership Board to take place on Tuesday, 18 August 2020 from 10am – 12noon. With the previous meeting arranged in March cancelled due to COVID, they have decided to hold this meeting through Zoom. Details on how to download and use Zoom can be found in the attachment below:

Project Manager – Inclusion North

The National Lottery Community Fund have provided the funding for KIDS Yorkshire to launch a new 3 year project called the East Riding Young Persons’ Engagement Group (YPEG). The group is for 14-25 year olds with SEND living in Bridlington and the surrounding area, the group sessions will be held in Bridlington. Sessions at the group are free and will be very much led by what the YP want and need. Due to COVID the group will be launched virtually, with the aim to meet when it’s safe to do so post COVID. The group is still setting up, more information will be available on the Local Offer and F.I.S.H bulletin shortly.
The East Riding Council have created a programme of activities aimed at supporting vulnerable families over the summer period of 2020. Eligibility criteria is:
a) The young person has an EHCP
b) The council have agreed to the assessment of the EHCP

We are looking to create a Co-production image that will appear on all work co-produced within the East Riding Council. We are asking for your help to design the image, with entries needing to be submitted by 31 August 2020. The winner will be picked by the East Riding Council and the design will be used across all work co-produced in the council. Further information can be found on the Local Offer.
