Founded in 2009, we are a voluntary group of parent and carers who have children and young people (0-25) with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
Our aim is to ensure parents and carers are involved in shaping the services in the area.
We do this by gathering the views of families finding out what is important to them and then work in partnership with the local authority, educational settings, health providers , voluntary services.
We have a steering group of parent carers who lead on the work and organise forum activities, all have a personal experience of children and young people with SEND.
We run a number of events throughout the year that you may wish to attend or participate in.
Having up to date policies and reports helps to ensure that everyone involved in
the work of the forum has clear guidelines on how to deal with situations when they occur.
Information on Education, Health and Social Care, Money, Benefits, Childcare and Employment, Local Services and more.
“EYPCF provides me with a support network of other parents dealing with similar situations, knowing I'm not on my own is invaluable."
